Coperaco Café, More Than Meets the Eye
Nestled within the vibrant community of Harrison Urby, Coperaco Café serves as a resident-essential destination for delicious coffee, beer, wine, and savory snacks. With a commitment to ethically sourced coffee beans and an unparalleled dedication to quality, Coperaco Café provides not only Urby residents, but the Harrison community with an unmatched experience that blends flavor, sustainability, and calming aesthetics.
Familiar Urby collaborator and Amsterdam-based architectural design firm Concrete Amsterdam created the initial design and concept for Coperaco Café. Known for their modern and conceptual design style, Concrete achieved a uniquely beautiful café located in the center of the Harrison Urby lobby.
Upon arrival, guests are greeted by 30-foot-tall ceilings that invite them in to explore more of the café. Large windows are cut into various parts of the ceiling, allowing sunlight to flow into the main bar area. This design feature gives our café an atrium-like feel. While plants and tendrils of vines are budding throughout the space, scaling the woodwork, and hanging above guests.
Detail-oriented craftsmanship and menu options for all tastebuds serve as the cornerstone of Urby’s café experience. Upon arrival at any Urby café, guests are greeted with high ceilings and an open-air atmosphere that invites them in to discover more. Rich white oak millwork resembling the outlines of peaked roof houses designate main café areas and can be found as a reoccurring theme throughout Urby projects. This design element brings the double height of the space to a human scale, creating more intimate seating sections.
Another focal point of Coperaco that adds to its mystique is a wood clad, indoor two-story “tree house”. The lower level of the tree house presents a cozy living room vibe, offering plush seating and a fireplace. While the upper deck of the tree house includes a library, perfect for reading or getting work done with a coffee or croissant. This elevated, tranquil space is complimented by views of Harrison Urby’s sprawling courtyards and floral arrangements.
When weather permits, abundant seating can be found at two outdoor sections. One facing the street, perfect for meeting friends or catching an Uber. Another is located out back, facing our lush gardens, and providing courtyard views. Regardless of where you choose to sit the centrally located marble square bar is never far away, serving an assortment of coffee, pastries, and even an afternoon spritz.
Coperaco believes every cup is a journey, similar to a trip through our hand-crafted Harrison Urby location. So make sure to stop by for a cup of coffee in the treehouse, an espresso martini at an outdoor table, or even a quick bite to eat inside our one-of-a-kind café.
